EMD connection instructions
1. Find the connector marked with "X32.1" of the zero calibration box, and then find the cable with the corresponding "X32.1" marking, then align the plug of the cable with the connector of the zero calibration box and connect it.
2. Find the connector marked with "X32.2" of the zero calibration box, and then find the cable marked with "X32.2", and then align the plug of the cable with the connector of the zero calibration box and connect it.
3. Check the cable connector of the KUKA robot base, find the connector labeled "X32", and remove the dust cover from the connector.
4. Align the plug of the other end of "X32.1" with the "X32" connector of the industrial robot base and connect it.
5. Move the axis where the robot zero point is lost to the pre-zeroed position.
6. On the robot body, locate the pre-zero calibration position of "A1" and remove the dust cover of the pre-zero calibration position with the help of "MEMD" or "SEMD".
7. Screw the "MEMD" or "SEMD" onto the measuring cylinder.
8. Finally, connect the measurement cable to the "MEMD" or "SEMD".
Calibration steps
(1) Select T1 working mode and move the robot to the pre-zero calibration position.
(2) In the main menu, select Input Operation>Zero Calibration>EMD>Calibration with Load>First Zero Calibration. A window opens automatically. All axes to be zero calibrated are displayed. The axis with the lowest number is selected.
(3) Remove the protective cover of the measuring cylinder from the axis selected in the window. (The EMD turned over can be used as a screwdriver.) Screw the EMD onto the measuring cylinder.
(4) Then connect the measuring leads to the EMD and to connector X32 of the robot junction box.
(5) Click on Zero Calibration.
(6) Press the confirmation switch to the center stop and hold it, then press and hold the start button.
(7)Finally, after executing startup, the calibration is complete and the robot fault message will disappear.
